Also take your V5C logbook, MOT certificate and a photo-copy of your tax disc. Who would you be buying the registration from? If you buy from the DVLA you will be the Grantee/Purchaser on the document. If you choose not to assign the registration, you are able to legally sell it on. If I have not correctly answered your question please give me a bit more information, possibly using an example.
